Suzaki Wharf

The wharf feels like the true edge of the city—a fringe where urban order meets the open sea. It is a place built for movement: ships docking and casting off, trucks rumbling, cargo shifting, and machinery working through steady, repeating cycles. Beyond this, the streets yield to stretches of open water.

Horizon

Across Hakata Bay, the same distant mountains appear again and again, transformed by changing light, colour and weather. The horizon remains fixed, but never quite the same. I am content for the series to remain unfinished, because it is a view I want to return to.
